Scholarships and Financial Aid

Each Millennium Scholar typically receives a substantial financial support package, renewable for four years, contingent upon the student maintaining a strong academic record and fulfilling program requirements. The support package for in-state students (Pennsylvania residents) includes coverage of tuition and room-and-board costs. The support package for out-of-state students (non-Pennsylvania residents) includes coverage of tuition costs only.

All students invited to the interview weekend will be asked to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before the event, as colleges use this information to determine the most appropriate scholarship award sources for each student.

Students awarded a Millennium Scholars Program scholarship may receive funding from a variety of Penn State and external scholarship sources, as well as federal and/or state financial aid. Other forms of financial aid that Millennium Scholars may qualify for are noted on Penn State’s student aid website.

Millennium Scholars may also be Schreyer Honors Scholars. Interested students are encouraged to submit the Schreyer Honors College application in addition to the Millennium Scholars Program application.
