The Start of Something Big
On Thursday, May 4, 2017, the Millennium Scholars Program recognized the achievements of the first graduating class, Cohort 1. The celebration was held at the Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel and attended by adminstrators, faculty, staff, parents and family.
Jason Turner gave the senior address and Luke Gockowski was the recipient of the Pillars of Success Award. The Pillars of Success Award is selected by the senior class and recognizes a member of the graduating class who best exemplifies the program values of accountability, cohesiveness, character, vision, respect, academic excellence and resilience. The scholar who is recognized with this award will have shown consistent growth and development during their time at Penn State and will be someone who has gone above and beyond to support the members of their cohort and the program.
