Why Give

Penn State and its STEM colleges have made a significant financial commitment to the program, but investment from corporate partners will allow us to strengthen and grow the program in the years to come. Private gifts will allow us to provide extraordinary financial support to Millennium Scholars, to enhance the educational features that make this program so unique, and to ensure that the program can continue to flourish for years to come. We are most in need of direct student support, travel awards, and programmatic support.

Ways to Support

Private Donors

Philanthropy will help us to create a supportive, challenging, and diverse environment for these future leaders, one which will promote their long-term success and enrich the culture and curriculum of our entire campus community. A gift to the Millennium Scholars Program is an investment in our students’ futures, and it is also an investment in the future of Penn State and our nation. Please join us in changing the future of STEM by partnering with us through the Millennium Scholars Program.

Corporate Partners

Corporate partners will help champion our efforts to build a pipeline of STEM researchers and leaders who are committed to increasing the diversity of thought and experience through their unique backgrounds and experiences. Corporate partnerships reflect the value we place on collaboration with companies that share our commitment to increasing the diversity of professionals in STEM-related disciplines.

Alum

The Millennium Scholars Program has graduated six cohorts of scholars. But, if you are a Penn State graduate who wants to encourage the achievement of students in STEM, we welcome your support!

How can you help? Alumni can support the Millennium Scholars in a variety of ways. Do you work in a STEM field? Perhaps you could invite the Scholars to visit your business, research center, or university. Would you be interested in talking with Scholars about your research or career path, or assisting with Interview Weekend. To learn how you can support the program, please contact us: millennium@psu.edu

The Parent Association

The parents of Millennium Scholars are vital to the program’s success. We expect and encourage parent engagement from Interview weekend until graduation. The Millennium Scholars Parent Association enables parents to engage with each other and support the program. The Association assists the program with Interview Weekend, Summer Bridge Welcome events, and various activities throughout the academic year. Once the student completes Summer Bridge, parents will be invited to participate in the Millennium Scholars Parent Association.
